Ali joined Marks & Clerk in 2022 as a Trainee Patent Attorney based in the London office. He is a member of the Mechanical Engineering team, where he works with a range of clients including UK based start-ups and multinational companies.
Prior to joining Marks and Clerk, Ali studied at Queen's University Belfast and was admitted to the Degree of Master of Engineering with First Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering. His research project focused on developing streamlined 0-dimensional and 3-dimesional analysis methods for the analysis of cell-cooling in high-performance EV batteries. His studies also included a supplement year at the Beijing Institute of Technology, China, with a focus on Engineering Design.
Ali has experience in 3D Computer-Aided Design, Computational Fluid Dynamics and Finite Element Analysis.
