Andrew joined Marks & Clerk in 2023 as a trainee patent attorney.
He graduated from the University of York in 2018 with a first-class honours degree in Chemistry. As part of his undergraduate degree, Andrew spent a year working as a synthetic chemist for a multinational agrichemical company. Andrew then went on to complete a PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh, conducting research in asymmetric synthesis and the total synthesis of natural products.
Prior to joining the patent profession, Andrew spent almost 1 year working as a medicinal chemist for a contract research organisation. Andrew is currently working towards dual qualification as a Chartered (UK) Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney.
