Peter is a Chartered (UK) and European Patent Attorney working in Marks & Clerk’s chemistry team. He has 7 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting applications for chemical inventions, with a particular focus on nanomaterials, polymers, and alloy compositions. Peter works with a wide range of clients, including multinational corporations, SMEs, and universities.
In the field of polymers, Peter has been involved in the prosecution of applications relating to novel polymers and to improved processes and uses of polymers in consumer products, such as inks, packaging, and foodstuffs, as well as technical products, such as medicines, coatings, and adhesives, and industrial products for civil engineering applications. He also has experience in the prosecution of applications relating to nanomaterials and alloy compositions.
Prior to joining Marks & Clerk, Peter completed a PhD in Nanoscience at the University of Manchester in 2016, developing novel polymers for nanofibrous bone tissue scaffolds. Peter graduated from the University of Bristol in 2012 with an MSci in Chemistry, including a year on placement as a medicinal chemist at a small SME and a master’s project on supramolecular chemistry.
