Alex is a Trainee Patent Attorney working in the Marks & Clerk Manchester office. He works within the Software and Electronics team, assisting with the prosecution of patent applications.

Before joining the profession, Alex graduated from the University of Manchester with a PhD in Advanced Metallics. Alex's doctoral research utilised atomic-scale simulations to develop an understanding of material degradation in nuclear environments. He also graduated from the University of Glasgow with a master's degree in Theoretical Physics.
