Nikki qualified as a Singapore Registered Patent Attorney in 2021 and is currently working towards qualification as a Chartered (UK) Patent Attorney.

Nikki specialises in patents in the technical field of materials science, biomedical, food science, pharmaceutical, and nano and clean technology. She has extensive local and foreign prosecution experience, and is often involved in assisting clients in obtaining multi-jurisdictional protection for their inventions.

Nikki graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering, specialising in polymeric and biomedical materials. During her internship with ST Kinetics, which is part of one of Asia’s largest defence and engineering groups, Nikki was involved in the research and experimentation on optimisation and characterisation of advanced ceramic materials. For her final year project at NUS, she researched on developing a membrane for commercial use in vanadium redox flow batteries.

Prior to joining Marks & Clerk, Nikki worked at a leading law firm in Singapore, where she assisted in the prosecution of patent applications for a diverse number of multinational companies. Nikki also holds a Master’s degree in IP & Innovation Management (MIPIM) from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
