Yann works with a broad range of clients, from local SMEs to universities and large multinational companies.  He is experienced in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications and also advises clients on infringement and validity matters. In addition, he regularly advises clients on UK and Community Design registrations.

Yann handles a broad range of subject matters, but specialises in the fields of chemistry, polymers and medical devices.

Born and educated in France, Yann obtained a Diplome d’Ingénieur from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier, followed by an MPhil from the University of Strathclyde in the field of analytical and environmental chemistry. Yann joined the patent profession with Marks & Clerk in 2007 after working for five years in the field of patent-based research, specialising in chemistry, polymers, coatings, adhesives and fabrics.

Yann is a Chartered UK Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney.
