Hernán is a Registered and Chartered Trade Mark Attorney (UK), a qualified Chilean lawyer and graduate of the Universidad Católica in Santiago. Hernán is a vital part of Marks & Clerk’s National Food & Drink team and he has many principal clients in this sector.

Hernán is a member of ITMA, ASIPI and INTA and also has a Masters in intellectual property from the University of Alicante, Spain. He worked for six years at Porzio, Ríos & Asociados in his home country, as well as in the United States and Germany.  He works directly with German and Latin American clients. He also advises local clients on Latin American law, particularly in Chilean law. He is fluent in English, German and Spanish, and has conversational Portuguese.
