James Baker is a partner and registered Canadian patent agent in the Ottawa office of Marks & Clerk Canada. James has almost 20 years of experience practicing in the area of patent drafting and prosecution, with an emphasis in the fields of life science, pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, polymers, organic and inorganic chemistry as well as chemical engineering and mechanical engineering.

James works with domestic and international clients developing and implementing bespoke patent protection strategies and solutions to ensure their innovation is secure in Canada and around the world.
