Jonathan Colombo is the Managing Partner of Marks & Clerk Canada. Jonathan is one of Canada’s leading trademark litigators, and is a former Managing Partner and Trademarks practice group co-leader of a highly ranked Canadian intellectual property firm. His practice includes all areas of trademarks and copyright law with a focus on advisory and contentious matters. He also represents clients in advertising disputes.
Jonathan has represented numerous national and international companies in reported intellectual property decisions over the last thirty years, including Staples, Canada Goose, GAP, Hilton, Estée Lauder, Home Depot, ACCA, and CarGurus. He is consistently ranked as a top lawyer in Canadian trademark law by his peers.
Jonathan is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and is the former chair of the Unfair Competition Committee’s Advocacy Section, and a former member of the Enforcement and Parallel Imports Committees. He is also the former member of the Canadian Trademark Agents Board of Examiners.
