Joined by his fellow peers in a session titled “Mistakes Happen – Fixing Errors in the Patent Office and Other Best Practices for Patent Prosecution”, panelists will discuss best practices and strategies for engaging with the Canadian Patent Office, especially when mistakes happen. Topics covered will include:
- Fixing Patent Office errors, including missing or delayed correspondence
- Obtaining extensions of time
- Agent representation and signature requirements
- Transfer requirements and changing applicants/inventors
