George is a qualified UK and European patent attorney with experience of drafting and prosecuting patent applications relating to technologies including semiconductor devices, sensors, opto-electronics, software, medical devices, telecommunications, and mechanical devices.
Before joining Marks & Clerk in 2019, George completed a PhD in Photon Physics at the University of Manchester where he studied the optical properties of semiconductor quantum well structures for energy efficient lighting applications. George also holds an MPhys degree in Physics from Manchester, having spent a year at the University of Paris-Sud in France as part of his studies.
