Please, use gallerys on every article, like Recife. Thank you! --Patrick-br msg 18:25, 1 November 2005 (UTC)
Gallery
[edit]Dear Mr. Jo-Jo, with 5 or 6 photos, this is not a issue. But there is no limits for photos on a specific subject. An Recife is a important one, with potential to grow a lot. Take a look: Theatre buildings, Cinemas, Natal, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. Articles so big only can be seen (remember, there is still a lot of dial-up users) with gallerys. --Patrick-br msg 11:06, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
Fine. Take a look: Recife (the first image, I put out of the gallery). --Patrick-br msg 12:13, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
Do you have an explanation for the fact, that "Bairro de (Quarter of) Boa Viagem" is not displayed with a gallery-solution? Jo-Jo 21:33, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
- I'm seeing it right now. Probably a temporary fail at the commons server. --Patrick-br msg 13:43, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

- I have written an email to Ben Holt – bholt@bio.ku.dk. Ben Holt is one of the leading authors of the study in which also 20121224zoogeographicalmap.jpg has been created. I asked him for information about the license. I didn't find any email address to write to wikimedia commons (cc) also. If you provide one I will forward the mail to you. - http://www.bik-f.de/files/press/press_wallace_english_final.pdf indicates within a single line "The new map ... is made freely available". Jo-Jo (talk) 15:28, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
- No derivatives? Commons won't allow such a licence. I forget which page it is explained on though.--Canoe1967 (talk) 22:19, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Jo-Jo. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Jo-Jo~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
