It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of our colleague and friend, Gregor Grant, who passed away on 17 November 2022.
Gregor practised as a solicitor continuously from 1967 until this year. He joined Marks & Clerk Solicitors as a partner in 2005 after a period as Head of Intellectual Property at Wragge & Co, following a merger between that firm and Needham & Grant, the specialist intellectual property firm Gregor founded with his partner Keith Needham.
Following his retirement as a partner, Gregor continued to work with Marks & Clerk Law as a consultant until his death.
Gregor’s illustrious 55-year career, during which he conducted some of the UK’s seminal patent and other intellectual property litigation and shaped the discipline in which he worked, secured his place as one of the leading lights of the UK’s Intellectual Property community. His depth of knowledge, humour, vivaciousness, kindness and generosity of character secured him no less important a place as a respected colleague and valued friend to all who worked with and encountered him.
We extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to his family.
